San Francisco Beach Family Photography

When this sweet mama called me up a few months ago and inquired about a family session to commemorate her little girl’s one year birthday she mentioned she wanted to do her session at the Ocean Beach sand dunes. I had been there several years before but for the last few years a lot of my clients had opted to go up the hill to Lands End. When I arrived on scene to check out the landscape just before the session started I was just blown away (luckily figuratively-if you know SF wind you know what I mean) by the dunes. I have driven by so many times on my way to the Zoo and other parts of Golden Gate Park, but I had never spent much time really exploring the beauty of this unique SF landscape. We had the most crystal clear gorgeous sunny day despite it being winter. Halfway though the session I even shed my coat which is a big deal for a Northern California Beach.
