Newborn Photography near San Francisco, CA
Newborn photography is a special and unique way to capture the beauty and innocence of a new life. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a beautiful baby girl, her mom and dad for a newborn photography session in San Mateo, California. The goal of this session was to capture natural and candid moments using natural light and soft neutral colors.
The session began with the family in their home, with the baby girl nestled comfortably in her mother’s arms. I started by capturing some intimate and tender moments between the mother and baby, using natural light streaming in through the windows. The soft and warm light created a soothing and peaceful atmosphere, perfectly capturing the mood of the new family.
As the session progressed, we moved to different rooms of the house, taking advantage of the different lighting and background options that each space offered. One of the highlights of the session was when we used a large window to capture some beautiful and natural shots of the baby girl sleeping peacefully in her mother’s arms. The natural light created a soft and ethereal feel, which perfectly captured the innocence and vulnerability of the newborn.
Another great aspect of the session was the use of soft neutral colors. We used a variety of blankets and props in soft shades of white, cream, and gray. This helped to keep the focus on the baby and the family, rather than on any bright or distracting colors. The neutral tones also helped to create a calm and soothing atmosphere, which was perfect for the baby girl.
Throughout the session, I also captured natural and candid moments of the family interacting and bonding with their new baby.
